The embodiment of broadcasting history in Britain, he was one of the first performers on pre war television, presented his own show on Radio Luxembourg and was a panellist in the 1950s and 60s on Whats My Line?. Renewed fame came with a regular slot on Thats Life! from 1973 to 1981. It ought to be in the NPG really.
