Attention to detail is apparent in this lovely ring given the natural blue Sapphires have a slight variation in colour and have been set with alternating ‘lighter’ blue and ever so slightly ‘darker’ blue fashion which looks just beautiful

Antique 9ct Yellow Gold Shell Cameo Oh ‘Hercules And The Nemean Lion’ Ring Circa 1900 Belle Époque 1890-1915Quite a wonderful ring with not a common depiction of Hercules (Heracles) wearing the Nemean lions skin over his shoulders and head in place of traditional armour. Killing the Nemean lion was the first of the heros famous twelve labors and it gave him his famous hide for protection.
